We then head to Ulun Danu Temple, which is a very popular lake resort perched in the cool highlands and then we visit Gitgit Waterfall – rated as one of the best waterfalls on the Island. Situated high up in the mountains and surrounded by stunning rice fields, this is simply one not to miss.
Take an iconic picture at ‘The Gates of Heaven’ Lempuyang Temple and the royal palace Taman Tirtagangga. Finally, relax and take in the beauty of Candidasa– a seaside town, which rests on the edge of a freshwater lagoon.
Take a stroll or a horseback ride at one of Bali’s UNESCO World Heritage sites – Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. The pristine, green rice terraces have been around for 500 years, and are one of the oldest agriculture systems around. Our final stop will be the Tanah Lot temple- the iconic rock formation that symbolizes Bali’s romance and is home to the ancient Hindu pilgrimage.
Then re-energise at a Balinese coffee plantation where you can watch how the coffee is roasted and have a go at grinding it yourself before sampling it, all whilst you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the tropical rain forest. Then visit the village of Kintamani to witness the amazing views of the Mount Batur volcano and the stunning Lake Batur.
And last but certainly not least, visit the Besakih Temple high up the slopes of Mt Agung, considered the ‘Mother Temple’ for Hindus. It is over 1000 years old and is actually a complex of 23 temples and is considered the holiest of all Hindu temples.
